Duplicate starring Mollywood's comedian Suraj Venjaramoodu

Mollywood's new comedy sensation Suraj Venjaramoodu, whose name is synonymous with the dialect of certain places in Thiruvananthapuram, turns hero for the first time with debutante director Shibu Prabhakar's Duplicate. Produced by Ajoy Sebastian under the banner of Scion International Film Factory, the film will start shooting soon at Ottappalam with two heroines Amritha and Maithili. More details are awaited.

Jayasuriya in Currency

The movie which was in the making for quite some time features Jayasuriya in a very different role. Meera Nandhan, Kalabhavan Mani and Mukesh are the other important characters of this movie which is also scripted by the director. Produced under the banner of Indostar Movie Magic, the movie is cinematographed by Viswamanagal Kitsu.’Currency’ is presently lined up for a release on the second of April. The movie will take on such biggies like ‘Sagar Alias Jackey’, ‘IG’, and ‘2 Hariharnagar’.

Mohanlal's Swapnamalika

Mohanlal's debut film as a story writer 'Swapnamalika' will reach the theaters by October. The movie has already completed the majority of its shoot at Varanasi and Kasi last month. The movie will be shot at Nagercoil by the last week of July. The movie will feature Mohanlal as Dr. Appu Nair and Israeli actress Elena appears as Radha Karmik, who meets Appu Nair on her journey to Kasi. Meera Jasmine, Innocent, Nedumudy Venu, Sukumari, Kaviyoor Ponnama, Jagathy Sreekumar, Babu Nampoothri are also in the film. Directed by K B Devarajan, S Suresh Babu pens the screenplay for the movie. M G Sreekumar will be the music director and lyrics written by Aparna Karimpil and produced by Karimbil films.

Vande Mataram

The producer of Malayalam film Vande Mataram has taken the film away from the hand of debutant director Karthi and has handed it over to a Film Institute student Aravind. Karthi was initially given the movie to direct but then developed some issues with the producer Henry of Pankaj productions. The movie has Sneha and Mammootty in lead roles.
